British Columbia's 150th Year Celebration
Welcome to Ladner Villages Celebration of BC's 150 years on the Fraser River.
Ladner will play host to three days of festivities as the flotilla nears the end of its Rivermania celebration, 26-28 September 2008. Presentations and displays put together by local school children, First Nations groups and the Ladner Museum mixed in with fun events on the river and in the harbour, even a street festival and night market in Ladner village. Historical tours can be arranged to follow the flotilla from New Westminster to Ladner and on towards Steveston. Or you may want to take a side trip to the Fort Langley the last remaining Hudson’s Bay Company Fort in the lower mainland.
River Run Cottages has team up with Kaymaran Adventure tours to provide not only premier B&B accommodations but walking access to all of the festival events and some tour options you may want to explore the historical and beauty of the river estuary.
 
Historical tours include guided riverboat and kayak tours along the Fraser River between Steveston and New Westminster. We will also be offering small bus tours to the old Hudson’s' Bay Fort 'Fort Langley' with stop off at some of our area wineries.
 
Estuary tours include guided and individual kayak and small boat tours of the marshes and wetlands of the lower Fraser River Estuary, where you can have a wildlife experience at you fingertips.
